New Orleans, LA- More than 2,000 delegates gathered for the 103rd Anniversary National Convention in the Riverside Hilton in Downtown New Orleans. This convention was the inaugural one for our new General President, Bro. Herman "Skip" Mason, and this year's theme was the "Daughters of Alpha". Daughters of Alpha were accomplished women whose fathers or Grandfathers were Alphas. "Daughters" who attended or performed at the the Convention Gala included Jasmine Guy, Lalah Hathaway, and Yolanda Adams.

Along with other SC and AlphaSouth winners, Gamma Gamma Lambda and Pi Alpha Chapters competed for and won the National Charles H. Wesley Award. This award goes to the graduate and undergraduate chapters who demonstrate the most collaborative effort in the past year.

Gamma Gamma Lambda and Pi Alpha (Clemson University) have been consistent winners at the District and Regional levels for several years. This is second year the Chapters competed nationally in the National Charles H. Wesley competition, and the first national win for Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter in its sixty-eight history.
