Play, "Jesus loves Kool-Aid" to be
performed on Feb. 23.

Greenville, SC: If you are free Saturday, February 23, 7:30 PM, please make plans to see a play entitled, "Jesus Loves Kool-Aid." and co-starring Nyasha Leamon. Written by Anthony Dawson, the play is about a drug dealer named, "kool-aid" that joins the church and gives his past drug money to the church. Should the Church keep it or not? Mr. Dawson is a member of Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter, and has written several other works.

The play is a mixture of singing and drama, comedy, and is being performed at Historic Mattoon Presbyterian Church, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is the oldest black Presbyterian Church in Greenville. The cornerstone of the church dates the building to 1887. "The red brick church building is in the Hampton-Pinckney Historical District at 415 Hampton Avenue.

Hampton Ave is two blocks from the old post office on E. Washington (Hampton runs parallel to E. Washington) or if you are familiar with the main downtown library in Greenville, Hampton Ave is two blocks from the Greenville Country Library on Academy (Hwy 123 / 412 Hampton Avenue).
