GGL to sponsor "Preventing Gang Violence"
Seminar at DFBC on Nov. 19

Gamma Gamma Lambda will be hosting its first of a Project Alpha series of seminars. Each seminar will have focus of subjects geared toward assisting African-American youth, especially young African-American men.

This month focus is on Gang Violence, and this month's seminar will discuss the growing threat of Gang violence in the Update area and ways that youth (boys and girls), parents, teachers can identify and assist others from becoming involved.

The seminar will be held on November 19 at 6 PM at Disciples Fellowship Baptist Church (see directions, below). Detectives Beeco & Peterson of the Mauldin Police will present information and we will have other community leaders in the audience for a Question & Answer session afterwards. Members of Gamma Gamma Lambda will have information about our next seminar in December .

We are asking groups who wish to attend to send an approximate number that will attend by November 17th.

Directions to the event:

Disciples Fellowship Baptist Church 105 Crestfield Road Greenville, SC 29605 Seminar will be held in the Fellowship Hall.

Directions:

From I-85 South

• Take exit 46 for State Hwy 291 S/Augusta Rd
• Take exit 46A to merge onto 25/Augusta Rd
• Turn Right on to Augusta Rd (toward Simmsonville)
• Turn right at Crestfield Road,
• Travel 1/10 of a mile, Church will be on your left.

You should see the Main Church building on your left. Turn onto the road right after the Main building. Park in the side or back spaces. The Meeting Room will be noted by signage as you enter the building from the carport.
