V-Tickets are $50.00 per person ( plus card fees) Meal Tickets are $100 per person (Limit to 275) Tickets can be purchased from any member of the Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter or by calling Alpha Greenville Foundation at (864) 735-0880. Alpha Phi Alpha Greenville Foundation along with Gamma Gamma Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha will sponsor its 46th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Scholarship Celebration on Saturday, January 11, 2025 as a virtual and in-person event with Alpha Greenville Foundation and Furman University.

The celebration is offerring a virtual option for the event in addition to including a live event with aentertainment and celebrate the Legacy Dr. King in the upstate. Recent years have seen the Scholarship Celebration positioned as a kickoff event for Martin Luther King activities in Greenville and surrounding areas.

We are honoring our 2025 Martin Luther King, Jr. Citizenship Award winner. Our event also features a Jazz Band (The Jamie Wright Band), and our MLK Speaker, Rep. Kambrell Garvin, SC Represetative, District #77.

Proceeds from the Scholarship Celebration support the Luke H. Chatman Scholarship for local high students as well fund other Alpha Greenville Foundation efforts such the MLK Youth Program, Gordon College Fair, and Joseph Vaughn Oratorical Competition. This year, Ms. Tabetha Ma’ta Crawford, Executive Director, Greenville County Human Relations Commission ,has been selected as the 2025 Martin Luther King, Jr. Citizenship Award winner, which be presented at the Celebration. In addition to presenting the winner of this year's award, the MLKS Celebration is the longest held annual Commemorative event MLK Holiday for the Upstate and serves the lead event for the Foundation's fundraising efforts.
