GGL Celebrates 70th Year Anniversary

Greenville, South Carolina - In the Alpha Spirit, I want to extend a thank you for your support and words of encouragement as I work towards being a good representative and president of our graduate chapter. For 70 years Gamma Gamma Lambda has been apart of making history in the upstate of South Carolina. What I’m looking for and what I’m asking from brothers’ is to placing a schedule point in your calendars in order to come and celebrate with me in the “Spirit of Alpha.”

For the weekend of August 19 – 21, we will have the opportunity to participate in a number of ways. In the celebration of this milestone we have a list of events that we want to invite you to as noted below:

1. Friday August 19th - A Social Mixer with members of the Upstate National Pan Hellenic Council and Others from 5 – 9pm @ Club 100.
2. Saturday August 20th - Community Service with the Goodwill of Greenville County from 9am – 11:30am
3. Saturday August 20th - NPHC upstate cookout 4 – 9pm @ Southside park
4. Sunday August 21st @ 5 pm @ Ruth Chris where the 28th General President of Alpha Phi Alpha – Dr. Henry Ponder will be the guest speaker. RSVP by 8/5, limited seating. Negotiated meal price of $40 per brother.

As I stand in this position I would like to remind you of the words that we all know and trust we will never ask, “How much can I derive from the fraternity?” but “How much can I do for the fraternity?” ~ Brother Charles H. Garvin.
