GGL will hold its annual
MLK Gala on Jan. 16th at 3 PM

Greenville, South Carolina - Gamma Gamma Lambda of Alpha Phi Alpha is sponsoring the 32nd Annual Martin Luther King Scholarship Gala at Younts Conference Center on Furman University. We will honor Dr. King's Legacy and announce our winner for the Martin Luther King Citizenship Award for 2011. The two-hour event will also include a three-course meal and live entertainment. Last year's winner (2010) was Maxium Williams of St. Francis Hospital System.

All proceeds will go to Luke Chatman Scholarship for High School Students and Martin Luther King Memorial Project (www.buildthedream.org). Gamma Gamma Lambda has awarded more than $ 56,000 dollars in scholarships to local high school students.

Ticket, Sponsorship, and Ad information will be available on GGL's website (www.gglapa.org) after December 4, 2010. Tickets will be available from Brothers from the GGL Chapter. You can get more information by emailing the Chapter at MLKgala@gglapa.org.

This event is co-sponsored by Furman University Multicultural center and Furman's Student League for Black Culture (SLBC) as part of their series of events to honor Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
