This special event promises to be an entertaining and exciting evening as the local chapter raises funds for the Luke H. Chatman Scholarship. The Chatman scholarship is an annual $3000 award that supports an area high school student who enrolls in an accredited college or university. This special event promises to be an entertaining and exciting evening as the local chapter raises funds for the Luke H. Chatman Scholarship. The Chatman scholarship is an annual $3000 award that supports an area high school student who enrolls in an accredited college or university. Tickets are $35.00 or $40.00 with a donation of $5 to the MLK Memorial, and the event is open to the public. Interested persons can purchase tickets from any brother of the Greenville Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha. Additionally, tickets can be purchased on line at our website, www.gglapa.org. Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., is the nation's oldest and largest predominantly black Greek-letter fraternity established by college students. Founded on December 4, 1906 on the campus of Cornell University, Ithaca in NY, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity has more than 750 chapters worldwide with over 100,000 members initiated. Gamma Gamma Lambda is the Greenville Chapter established in 1941.
